Yeah, you're not way off there, a slightly better cooling setup for your case/CPU would bring you down into the 60s, and I would much rather operate under 70C.
Guys i wanna ask you something about offset mode. From what i read i have come to this conclusion and tell me if im right or wrong. At core temp at full load my vid: 1.3311-1.3361 my manual vcore is at 1.25 so to do this with offset mode i must : 1.3361-1.25=0.0861 so i must change the offset mode to -0.0861 to have the same results right?
dude your power consumption is way to high i have the same cpu and its running at 4,5 ghz and its only consuming 163 watt at max at 1,390 vcore
I have make some changes.I change the vcore to offset and now my idle temps dropped to 35 celcius and max at 75 with prime95 running 8hours with full ram.And dont look at core temp power consumption i dont know if it is my only but some times it jumbs for seconds even to 900watt something that couldnt be true so is some kind of bug i guess. My idle power consumption with vcore offset is 22-25watt now and at full load about 130-135.
Hi i have 3930k and i overclocked it to 4.2 with everything on auto just the multiplier to 42 and my xmp profile for the ram. I m running now prime 95 the first test and after 1 hour or so my temps are around 65-67, my core voltage from cpuid is 1.328 and my watt is 130. Im sorry im clueless in general from oc. Am i ok right now? Should i test it further? Im running this with a h80i with default paste on. thanks
