Can someone design me a $1000 custom build? MAX is $1000 around $950 would be better. Also id like the computer to be able to run Crysis 3 easily

I'd think really hard about whether or not you need an OC'd CPU. CPU performance doesn't have a lot to do with video game performance, and combined with the aftermarket cooler, it takes up a lot of your budget.

If I were just playing video games, I'd use a locked i3 processor and spend the rest on an SSD or GPU. I just recently began running BF3 on a samsung 830 series and it loads in no time compared to a 7200RPM HDD. Another benefit of not OCing is that you can save on the motherboard by getting an Hxx or Bxx chipset. 99% of motherboard differentiation within the gaming market for $1000 builds is just marketing.

Here's my recommendation: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/15l5l

caveat: after looking at Crysis 3 benchmarks and how heavily it is affected by CPU performance, 2 observations:
1) You may want to swap that 250GB SSD for a 120GB model and put the extra $100 into an i5 processor. 2) you need $2k ($1250 for the computer, $750 for the monitor if you don't already have at least a 1440p screen) if you intend to run Crysis 3 the way it was meant to be played.

edit: Apparently I don't know how to properly post a link to pcpartpicker!

It´s not just about cpu perfomance alone, the next-gen games are going to be heavily multithread and that´s what crysis 3 is reflecting, and for now AMD is leading the way of multithreading perfomance.

Interesting. I haven't read that anywhere--could you provide a source for this? I'm already kinda wishing I had bought the i7-2600k rather than the i5-2500k because I'm doing more video work now and am trying to decide when to jump up to the 2011 platform with a hexacore processor. If next gen games are going to be using multithreading, that might help speed up my decision =)

Also, please fix your partpicker link--I'd like to see what you configured.
