I've done all research possible, so please don't attempt to advise me.
I game about 2 hours each day, and I play FPS multiplayer mainly, although I do play RPG's and sometimes Racing games. (SP and MP games). I do like to maintain at least 25 fps + (graphical quality is good too, but not as much). The biggest thing I'm looking here for is FUTUREPROOFING. Don't say "Get a desktop". I need a laptop for my needs. Which will futureproof me for at least 4 years? Is the first one worth the extra cash?

Shall I go with a - 8970m crossfire - 2250 dollars

or a 780m single - 1750 dollars

(two different laptops)

obviously the first is more powerful, but is it worth the price?

I'll advise you to not hit submit so many times. I know the site has issue sometimes, but double check what you do sometimes. I already deleted the dups.

Laptops aren't really upgradable. Just get the cheapest that does what you want, repeat as needed.

My mistake, I didn't know. I would get the 780m, but in a few years will it be any good? (4 years)? I would rather spend a couple hundred more now and let it last for some more time, than buy something that will last less but cost less.

personally, right now - the 780m, because currently, nvidia's mobile driver support is better imo.
however, i cannot say what will happen in 4 years.
