SATA Cables Behind the Motherboard

I'm pretty sure I know the answer but just need some confirmation. I'm doing a SFF build for a desktop office computer and there isn't a lot of space to work with (Lian Li PC-Q27). Can I run the SATA cables underneath the MoBo (they will have to be put in place before the MoBo is screwed in because the clearance is not wide enough to feed them underneath due to the rail mounting)? SATA cables are of course shielded and I don't believe that there will be any possibility of shorting the board out because of a hot wire hitting a solder joints on the back of the MoBo but just want to be sure. This will markedly help with the build and keep the clutter down. Is my assumption correct

Thanks in advance!
