Looking for the better card out of the two. I can get the Evga 770 superclock w/acx cooling for $439.99 while the lightning is $476.99. I guess it comes down to EVGA vs MSI for their video cards..which do you guys think is a better buy?

If you can get an EVGA GTX 770 ACX! I just got the Superclocked version of that for $419 @ NewEgg (currently out of stock). Should be about the same performance wise compared to the MSI Lightning and the cooling should be about the same.

I can idle at 30-36C depending on room temp and not hear the GPU fans at all. When gaming @ 1080p (FryCr3 for example) I still don't hear the video card ramping up and don't go over 70C.

Also - With EVGA you can Register your warranty online and get a Free Backplate. And if you search you can also get a Free CD-Key (Steam capable) for the Advanced version of 3dMark Fire Strike (I just got mine yesterday) from EVGA once you Register and provide them with an Invoice proving you bought the GPU.

Wow! I did'nt know that. Looks like I'll be getting the EVGA card, hehe. How do i select your answer as best answer? I'm new here but I would like to give you the rep you deserve..:bounce: , i was initially going to get the lightning because of the back plate but if evga is giving them out for free theres no reason now lol
