So basically I'm looking to sell my pc, it is a dell xps 8300
These are the specs:
I5-2310 2.9GHz
4gb 1333MHz
1tb hard drive
Ati 6670
Everything else that is usually included e.g. Psu, optical drive etc

Good as new, how much would you pay for it.(not saying you would but how much is it worth)

Solution
To accurately calculate system depreciation here's what you do:

Take what you paid for the rig, subtract the salvage value, and divide by the life of the system.

For instance a $700 rig with a salvage value of $50 and a life of three years would depreciate like this:

(($700 - $50) / 3) = $216

First year:

$700 - $216 = $484

Second year:

$484 - $216 = $268

Then the third year multiply $216 by the month of sale - June.

$216 * (7/12) = $126

$268 - $126 = $142

You can expect your system to sell around $150.

Going by the prices on ebay right now for similar models - about $400-$500.

It'd be more like this for the first year:

((800 - 170) / 2) = 315

800 - 315 = 485

Second year:

315 * (7/12) = 183

485 - 183 = 302
