Hi
I have a Dell Vostro 410 and I was looking to upgrade to the Radeon 7770 but the computer only has 350w psu instead of the 400w required for the 7770. So I was wondering if the 7770 would still work on this computer because I heard that the Dell psu were underestimated.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz

Who told you that????

Get a good 500w psu, although your cpu will bottleneck the card if you play demanding games

The 7770 only needs 80w. It should be okay.
BUT you may not have the correct PCI-E connector.

Probably better off upgrading.

I know that the 7750 doesn't need any extra power but how does it perform vs the 7770? Will I be able to play games on high or medium with it?

^^ I've been facing the same dilemma. The HD7770 vs The HD7750.. all the benchmarks i've seen recently suggest that the HD7770 is faster by 10-12 FPS on a 1280x1024 resolution and around 8-9 Fps faster than the HD7750 at 1920x1080 yet people say that the difference between the two is MASSIVE! haven't seen any benchmarks that suggest so -_- .. You'll easily be able to power the HD7750 with your power supply and yes Dell PSU's ARE under estimated. I had a friend running a GTS250 (Power hungry card) with a 350w Dell PSU and he used that PSU with it until he upgraded his entire pc. What i suggest you do is open up your case and try to look for a 6 pin power connector if you've got one of those then you'll be able to run a HD7770 just fine with no worries. Heck i ran a 9600GSO DDR3 on a 250w psu with a modified 6 pin connector for a month before i bought my CX430 so relax

10 FPS is massive when you are getting 22 FPS!

The price difference between the two is very minimal and since you said my psu can handle it then it should be fine. So will the 7770 get me good frames on high settings?
