I have the nvidia geforce gts 250 gpu for 3 years and I have recently noticed some crushes of my pc while I am playing heavy games. However when I bought L.A. noire and tried to play my pc was crushing on the interface of the game if I did not manage to press resume game within 3 secs. If I managed to get into the game it would crush after 10 minutes. So I thought that it was an overheating problem and found out that my pc reached 86 C while gaming and 65 C when idle.
I decided to clean him up and I noticed that the gpu fan had stopped because of the dust. I cleaned it and the idle temp was 52 and while playing L.A. noire it was 63 C. The crushes on the interface of the game stopped but the in-game crushes still persist, after 5-10 minutes (sometimes even after 1 minute of gameplay) but the temp does not get over 65 C.

So was my gpu damaged because of the not working fan and this is the reason that the crush problem is still there?

If that is the case please reccommend me with a new gpu (no more than 220 euros).

I had the same type of crush on other games too but it is much more rare.

(I am trying to run L.A. Noire with the lowest graphics)

my pc specs:

cpu:intel core i3 530 2,93ghz

motherboard: Foxconn H55MXV series

gpu:nVida Geforce gts 250

ram:4GB (two rams 2gb each)

OS:win 7 32 bit

PSU:600W max

Thanks for any help.
