I'm looking for a RAID enclosure to store at least 4 hard drives. The drives I'd be using are SATA nearline server drives - Seagate Constellation ES.2 st32000645ns to be specific.
My requirements are:
1. The enclosure must be standalone... That is, no software required to set the RAID mode or to rebuild the array, and no special expansion card needed to provide the RAID or to interface the box.
2. It's got to do USB 3! eSATA and/or FireWire, etc, would be cool, but unnecessary.
3. RAID 5, 6, or 10 - idc.
So far, the only enclosure I can find that meets my needs is the Oyen Digital Mobius box (http://oyendigital.com/hard-drives/store/3R5-EB3-M.html) for $199. But is there anything better or cheaper?
