Hello,

This is my first time building a computer and I have a basic idea of what i'm doing and what components i'm choosing, but, since its my first time building a computer, i'm not too sure if the components I've chosen are the best, i'm looking to build a pretty good gaming computer, which could, lets say, play Battlefield 3 at low/medium settings at a solid 50-60 FPS. I'm trying to buy every component from scan.co.uk, but I don't mind buying from other sights, such as overclockers.co.uk, as long as its in the UK, lol. My budget is under £1000, here are the components ive selected, which all costs about £800, I dont mind spending more either :)

2GB MSI Radeon HD 7870

Intel Core i5 4670K 1150 Quad Core
link
LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x DVD±R
link
700W Storm Silent LPJ19-25
link
Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M
link
4GB Corsair Value DDR3 PC3-10600
link
500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s, 7200rpm
link
And I will install Windows 7 64 Bit. Please tell me if any of these parts are incompatible with each other or if I should upgrade, thanks :)

(Sorry for the long post)

Actually, I've just found out that my Processor and my MB aren't compatible, so I need to change it :( I don't think it would be that much of a hassle to push it up to an i7, what do you think?

I'm pretty sure I don't, my tower is the Aerocool Strike-X One, and it says on the website that it can hold Micro ATX/ATX MB's.

I would go with that but, as you said, its a bit over my budget, I would be willing to spend only another 100 on what I already have, so, maybe a 7950 would do, but im not sure if I should upgrade or not...
