I would like to build a computer that would allow me to play most games on Max settings, and still be able to record the footage and get between 30-60 frames (60 preferred). In addition to gaming I want a set up that will be a video editing monster. I have been looking around at different cpus and gpus and don't know which to pick. I have no preference on amd or intel which ever will be helpful and still within my budget. I would like to spend about $700 but am willing to go up to 900. Please recommend me parts that I should use as I am a computer building N00b. (Seriously if you could list a ton of parts for the whole build that would be sweet) Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me! Appreciate it 1000 times over!

Will be able to handle BF3 without a problem at 1080p, as well as minecraft, and runs vegas great. This is about the best $/performance you're going to get right now.

For video editing, 16 GB is a must.
I also picked an 8 core CPU that is great for both gaming and video editing.
I picked up a hybrid Drive to give you SSD-like performance.
Motherboard and CPU cooler intended for overclocking.
The 660 will suit your needs.

Enjoy!
