Approximate Purchase Date: In around ~6 weeks
Budget Range: I'd like to stay around 600$, but I can do 750$ before rebates if it is a gtx 780. This has to include tax and shipping.
Usage from most important to least important: Gaming(battlefield 3 at ultra maybe no AA, counter strike, arma 2, generally shooters)
Current GPU and PSU: I currently have 2 560ti Superclocked, both at 1000/2300. I have an Antec HCG 900 watt.
Relevant System Specs: I have a 3570K and a P8Z77-V Pro with CL8 DDR3 1600 Cruciall Ballistix Tactical ram.
Preferred websites: Any reputable website will do, preferrably newegg and stores like Fry's and Microcenter.
Parts Preference: I prefer Nvidia, mainly because I've used them for a long time and never had any problem. As for brands, I like EVGA and ASUS. I am willing to try out Gigabyte and MSI.
Overclocking: YES. SLI: Maybe.
Resolution: 2560x1600.
Comments: I'd like it to be quiet and have atleast 3GB memory. I am comsidering a windforce gtx 780 and a classified gtx 770.

Get dual 770's, which can destroy a single 780.

I like the value and power that HD 7970 GHZ represents I mean 3x free AAA game come on man LOL. I don't think AMD is releasing anything new this year anyway.

Re brand like nvidia did with 7xx ? Why would anyone want to pay more for a GPu and then by free games LOL makes no sense to get ripped off twice in a row.. The GTX 770 re brand is finally at the price the 680 should be.

It is completely false to call the whole 7-Series a re-brand. The 780 has the GK110 architecture which is present in the Titan, and could not be farther off from a re-brand of the 6-Series.

780 = re branded Titian and 770 is a 680 re brand = so far the whole 7xx series as it stands today is a re brand just priced lower to make people think like they are getting a deal instead of thinking the reality is that this is what should have already been made available at last gen pricing and naming.

And yet the 770 still defeats the 7970 in many games...

Marginally. I would like to see OC for OC Apples to Apples comparison done. 770 is just a 680 and not more than the sum of it's parts. Already the 7970 ghz is faster than the 770 in many games. Lets see what an 1100 or 1.2Ghz Edition 7970 does with the 770.

Thanks for your input, but I changed my mind about SLI. The problem with SLI for me is that the cards are louder since temps increase. So I guess I am going to get a GTX 780 because the HD8XXX is just a rebadge according to Anandtech.
