What would be best for me?

Okay, I'm gonna be honest and say I really don't know much about computers.
For the longest time I was set on getting a MacBook Pro.
But my brother convinced me that it's not worth to spend all my money for it.

I recently just graduated High School, and want something user friendy but also fast running and holds a good amount of memory.
I remember going into best buy and one of the people said I want something with an intel core 5 or 7?
Also I'm not really looking into laptops as much anymore. I think it would be nice to just have my own personal desktop at home, because I think it would last longer.

So my question is,
What's a good computer for me?
Are the new 'all-in-one' computers a good buy?
And I am also looking for something reasonable around $600-$800 range.

Just about ANY new computer will have enough "memory". Do you play games or want to? With your budget you can actually get a pretty good computer that will run just about anything, although for a gaming system you will spend on the higher level of that are are better off picking your own parts. If you don't care about gaming, get any Dell or Lenovo system with an i5 CPU.
