So I got a new z87 asus pro board, I had been using it fine, installed windows 8 onto an ssd and set up the storage drive.
I went into the bios for a look around and when I left I pressed the "restore factory defaults and reset".
The pc took about two minutes to shut down, and when it restarted I got black screen, and an error message "4F" on the mother board display which has the code "DXE IPL is started".
I've read that a bios flashback might fix this, but seeing as the system is now only about 15 hours old should I just return the motherboard?
