£450 - 500 pc first build-HELP

I'd suggest this build instead, at nearly £500, and is sufficient to run all titles mentioned above at 1080p ultra settings:

Except for Skyrim that only get you average 50fps on ultra + 2x AA using a 650ti boost, Diablo iii and starcraft 2 can be run with average FPS above 100 respectively.

Not sure of the real time fps but benchmarks arent so great for 650ti..

Btw i had a personal doubt i wanted to ask you but i cant seem to you PM you..Can you answer my doubt aswell please?
Hello sir,
I had a doubt in selecting my motherboard, i though you could help me please ?

Here's my basic setup:
CPU: FX -8350
MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0
CASE : Corsair 400R Carbide
RAM : 2x4GB RipjawsX
PSU : Seasonic SII 520W
HDD : 1TD WD BLUE
GPU : 7870 HD OC edition

Will this motherboard support a reasonable amount of OC'ing of the CPU and GPU [after 1.5years]. Will it support steam roller ?

What's the difference between Asus M5A97 R2.0 and Asus M5A97 R2.0 EVO

PS: I cant afford a more expensive mobo on a strict budget ;(

Thank you :D

mATX boards have less length than ATX boards, but no worry, everything will fit just fine here.

650ti boost is different from any 650ti you know. It's basically a stripped down 660.

Yea forum is quite buggy these days. As for your question: beside more connections at its rear, EVO one also has more phases in its power design making it more sufficient for OC-ing, plus better board layout. I'm seeing threads on the forum showing that the M5A97 ( non EVO ) and its r2.0 variant doing something wrong ( having bugs ) everyday or two, therefor it's not a board I'd suggest you to buy.

If you're on a strict budget then maybe get the Corsair 300r only ( or any other cheaper case ) and push your mobo to the EVO R2.0 or the gigabyte 970a-ud3, since motherboard is the base of your system. Don't go cheap on it.

As for steamroller support : can't tell anything for sure. We'll have to wait. I think the huge performance boost from Steamroller CPUs can hardly be achieved with the current AM3+ socket. AMD might have to come with AM4. But then, it's just me.

Very tight budget, hard to work with =P this should be pretty damn fast for the money.

@acid1drinker
Get your own thread! I would change to a FX 6350 and a HD 7950. The M5A97 R2.0 EVO isn't much different to the R2.0, it has some eSATA ports, 2 more USB 2.0 on the board (12v14) and some other little things, not worth the extra money as for overclocking they will both be moderate.

@Madn3ss795 There's problems with them? I know someone that got the LE r2.0 and it's running fine...
