I've got a dying HDD 500Gb on my hands
i've money for only one of these options

1) 3770k + high end MB

2) 500Gb SSD

3) 256SSD + another 7970 (CrossFired)

4) 256SSD + 3770k + high end MB (in this one i've to use the money for PS4)

which one worth it?

my current rig is
990FXA-GD65 - AMD 8350 - 7970 Sapphire - 750w PSU Overclock Edition - 2x4 RAM 8gig Geil 1600 - Z600 hyper cooler

So you have a dying hdd and you want to replace it with a new cpu and motherboard? I'm confused.

I see no reason to upgrade your current system unless you just want to add a SSD to speed it up.

You already got a good gaming rig : great CPU, great motherboard, great VGA. So you should get a 256gb SSD ( avoid sandforce-based 240gb ones ), and either save the rest or spend on a better CPU cooler ( if you want to OC higher ). SSD + another 7970 would do, too, but AMD's driver settings for xfire GCN cards isn't something we can always rely on.

well the dying HDD can be fixed and thrown a corner for back up uses or sth
and i dont have any uses in high storage (300gb would do for me)

@Madn3ss795, what 256SSD brand you recommend?

i just play games (on TV with HDMI port in 1366x768 1080p)
and my budget's not so specific, it can afford the options i just mentioned

If u just want to play games on 1080p then u just can get SSD. No needs to get anything more. Everything is perfect.
Thank you.
