I'm running win 7 pro x64 and just upgraded my sys to a sabertooth 990fx/gen3 r2.0 MB (shouldn't have gotten the gen3 though), an AMD fx8350 (maxed out 8 core), and 16 GB of ddr3 2133 ram. My sys drive is a RAID0 using two 600GB SATA3 WD velociraptors.
I'm going through the MB drivers now to make sure they are the most current and I noticed that under: "device manager>PC>IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" I have two "Asmedia 106x SATA Controller"s, then three "ATA Channel 0"s, then three "ATA Channel 1"s and finally "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller". Even though this MB has no 'IDE' or PCI slots.
Should there be two sata controllers? Can't remember seeing that before.
Thanks.
