PS4 or Xbox1?

I preordered both consols yesterday and I plan to cancel one of the preorders after I've decided which one to go with. Obviously from what people are saying the ps4 is the better choice - BUT I own both the xbox360 and PS3 and I F***ing hate the PS3!

The user interface, the controller, the build quality, the short recharge cable, the fact that it doesn't come with an HDMI cable.

From what I see the PS4 has changed the controller and the user interface to something that looks decent. I'm also aware of the superior hardware the ps4 has over the xbox1 - which is causing me to lean more towards the ps4.

Obviously It'd be best to wait for the consols to come out and I can have a hands on experience before I commit to my purchase - But i figure the supply will be limited after the release and I don't want to wait several months.

What do you guys think?

More about : ps4 xbox1

Xbox 1 has to be connected to the internet at least 1 in 24 hrs and if it doesnt i think something happens that wont allow you to play games. The xbox 1 also will not let you play without the kinect sensor plugged in. Also you cant play used games.

Ps4 has better graphics with the GDDR5 ram, will play used games, cost $100 less.

I have had an xbox since the first and i think i am going to change because the xbox one does not impress me at all.

what is sad is Ceee9, i dont know if it is a console
cus in my world Games are first and foremost when it comes to consoles

not extra b/s addons and features

i agree PS3 interface is trash compared to 360
sony is a hardware company vs a MSFT software company

but at the end of the day, unless xbox one ditches the kinect and its DRM crap
PS4 is the only choice for gaming

Xbox1 will indeed allow you to play used games but only select resellers will be able to provide you valid, playable, used games.

everyone I know is going PS4 except me. I'm abstaining from both and sticking with pc.

I say it really depends on a few main factors.

1) The game choices. What console will have the games you are most excited about (in terms of exclusives)?
2) Personal preference in terms of design of the controller, UI, and even the looks of the console itself.
3) The degree of commitment to one ecosystem or the other that you may, or may not, currently have (ie. Xbox live subscription, gamer stats, purchased content aside from games.)
4) Your opinions on the other various aspects of each console, such as the connect once every 24 hours for the xbox as opposed to the PS4 not having it.

In the end, IMHO, both consoles will end up being excellent gaming platforms and will be able to compete head to head in those terms, but what it comes down to is what ecosystem you are more invested in, and want to be invested in, in the coming years. I for one am going to stick with Xbox if for no other reason than I am too invested in the MS universe to change gears now, especially since nothing I have seen so far makes me not want a Xbox One instead of a PS4.

I will admit I am a bit of a Xbox fanboy, but as I said, I'm also heavily invested in it's ecosystem, so it really makes no sense for me to switch to PS for what are, to me, fairly minor issues overall (and nothing that will effect me personally in any real way). But others will, and do, feel differently. It all comes down to personal preference in the end, and possibly also if someone wants to feel like they are making a statement by not buying a Xbox One because of certain aspects of it.

Well money is not a problem. FYI LOL!!! Consoles are for kids. if you are a console gamer that means you haven't passed puberty age when it comes to gaming. Sorry to hear that.

I use to love Xbox 360 but the Xbox One trying to nickel and dime you for everything and you cant even borrow your friends game without paying for it is to much, I'm not to sure what the PS4 has but I've herd some bad stuff wether it's true or not is a another story so I'm done with both and building a gaming PC.

Microsoft is going to be tough to beat but I think Sony is really hungry to win this round of the console wars. It looks like they are going to do whatever they can to make the PS4 attractive as possible. So far they are off to a great start. The PS4 is going to be a whole lot more competitive than the PS3 ever was.

I give the edge to Microsoft right now as they are the established market leader but that can change really fast.

It is going to be interesting to see how it unfolds.

I am a PC Gamer first and foremost but if I chose to go for a console I think I would lean towards the PS4.

I hope to god you are a kid because a reply like that is really immature, money is not a problem? buy a console aswell then!

Microsoft are just too greedy! MS are saying screw you honest gamers who buy games brand new and don't pirate anything!

Connect the console once every 24 hours, game only works on you're account so you can't lend it to a friend, kinect has to be on to play xbox1(why is it even bundled?) and giving the indie market a bitch slap by not adding it to xbox1!

I will be buying ps4 at launch just because they messed up last time so they're trying to redeem themselve's, I got both systems at launch last time, both gave me reason to get them, only microsoft's giving me reason not to this time round! Microsoft, Apple and Ea need to shape up. Billions ain't enough nowadays they want your soul. lol

You answered yourself:
"Obviously It'd be best to wait for the consols to come out"

Hard to give you and advice on something thats not out yet. I would lean towards ps4 as well, but id definitly wait till its out so we can see what is actually better.

It can easily be said that if you are still gaming, you haven't made it past puberty. Please keep comments related to the topic.

If your gaming sense is as good as your grammar, I don't trust your opinion.
What a mess of words you threw together.

Your spelling is atrocious.
Just a heads up, you paid 150% more for that Alienware POS, that you would have just buying any other system with the exact same hardware.

You should turn spellcheck on, on your little alienware computer, cause you sound like a fucking moron.

You don't have to have it connected once everyday. It only requires you to connect once daily if you're online gaming. And if you're online gaming, obviously you don't have connectivity problems.

To add, buying a system because they "messed up last time and are trying to redeem themsevles" is a TERRIBLE way to look at life. So if you buy a Hyundai car and it's a piece of shit, you're going to buy another because you're going to assume they've learned from their mistakes? I don't know if you're the sharpest tool in the old shed, bud.
