will gtx780 play two monitors extended?

Dears,

A friend shocked me today saying that the GPU that I'm going to buy soon, GTX780 won't run 2 monitors unless I get another GPU?

BTW my mother board has an hdmi port? but he said that these port stops working once GPU installed?

Your advice are highly appreciated

Your friend is right about the onboard GPU. When you install a discrete GPU (your 780) the onboard GPU is disabled

So no, you cannot have one HDMI cable in your 780 and the other on the onboard HDMI port

Or its like, "Hey, you need a 790... once you get it, Ill give you $200 for your old 780"
