I currently have an amd fx 8120 and have been using HWmonitor and AMD overdrive to monitor the temperatures. My room is currently around 20C but ive noticed on idle AMD overdrive is 10-12 degrees higher reading than HWmonitor but comparing the temps of HWmonitor with Coretemp, they read the same? Is amd OD less accurate for readings?

Hi,

I trust coretemp over any other these days.

Sounds like AMD overdrive is wrong

I lean to Coretemp also (and there's other 3rd party utilities), AMD is sort of generic as is even the software provided by the mobo makers, i.e. the mobo makers make changes to how voltages run, temps, etc, but don't up the software to the changes

I primarily use CoreTemp.

HW Monitor is good too.
