I have been on Comcast for about a year now and all of a sudden my download speeds became very slow. I ran a speedtest and I am getting 10/10 when I should be getting 50/10. When testing my connection with another computer I get the correct speed of 50/10. So the problem should be my computer right?
I have done the following things to trouble shoot.
1. reformatted
2. tested connection through a Usb ethernet device
3. released and renewed IP
4. power cycled and reset modem.
I should also note that my PC is an Asus g53s Laptop with Win 7, and that my connection is wired direct to the modem. No wireless, no router.
