Hello. I am building a pc for the very first time. This is supposed to be a future proof rig. I will buy the parts in August.

That is the build i need the case for. My current choice is a XIGMATEK ASGARD PRO, but a lot of it's reviews have complaints.

I am looking for a ATX case. It must have at least one USB 3.0 port, and good airflow. I am planning to get three more fans with it to provide more cooling, so it must have at least 5 120mm fan openings. It must look like the bitfenix shinobi, or xigmatec asgard pro etc.

Now, i would prefer if the case had a tool less design. A place for an ssd. A lot of space. Cable management. I would also prefer if the case was quiet.

What case would you recommend? Why?
The price range for the case has to be $0 - $55 without rebates or discounts. Thanks to all of you who give me a suggestion.

1) ATX case describes a lot of cases. I think you mean ATX Mid Tower.
2) Could you elaborate on the cooling part? There may be more than one way to solve your anticipated cooling problem. Often, a better CPU cooler (like the Noctua NH-D14) or a different model of the 770 (that has more VGA fans) would work better than simply adding fans to the case (which is not guaranteed to lower temps at all!).

I am not aware of 5 fan Mid Tower for <$55 that exists. Tell us more about your planned case design and needs and the Tom's Hardware community may be able to point out a solution.

3) You don't really need space for an SSD; it has no moving parts and it does not generate heat. My SSD is taped beneath my HDD cage. Get some velcro if you want to get fancy.

4) It sounds like what you want is very very similar to the Lian Li PC K58W that I have (it can fit 4 fans, 5 if you have an add-on 5.25"bay intake). Similar cases go for about $80. I was lucky enough to get mine for $50 on a Newegg Shell Shocker deal. You could do something similar if you have time to wait (you said you're buying in August, right?).

5) What do you think about this NZXT? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146078

edit: If you want 'future-proof' (which I think doesn't work out all the time; few people actually upgrade their CPUs, and there is rarely a substantial benefit from upgrading on the same socket) you need to go for the LGA 1150 platform with a Haswell processor, which just recently came out.

1) I did mean ATX-Mid tower
2) The cooling problem is mainly the temps becoming too high inside the case for the system running for a really long time. I think that the Evo 212 is the best cpu cooler for my budget range and the nh-d14 is simply to big. I changed the 770 model specifically to get the best EVGA coolers. The fans are for better airflow.

I meant that the case must have at least 5 places for me to install fans. I could tell you about the case design i am planning but i am not sure on what to tell. If you guys could tell me what you need clarification on, i could do so.

3) The space for an ssd is sort of must. I dont know if the 3" hdd bays come with holes to mount an ssd. If that is the case, i really do not need a seperate bay at all. Tape is too unstable for long uses and i do not want to go with it. I am looking to either screw or tie the ssd to the cages.

4) I am willing to wait but the lian li does not really appeal to me. Other cases that drop in price would be good though.

5) The NZXT 210 is a pretty good option. The reason i am holding off selecting it is a few concerns that could obstruct me building my rig. "no mobo mounts or replacement fan screws" or "Front panel looks like it will limit air flow" or "20mm clearance behind the mobo is tight for some power cables" or "Only two included zip ties" or "threaded holes are kind of tight in some location" etc. I would like it if you could clarify those points, NZXT may be the case i choose.

I was going to go with haswell, but considering that the performance increase is not too large, i get an ssd with ivy, i get more room for other parts with ivy, i will probably upgrading in about 5-6 years with the 770, there is not much need or want for haswell.
