First Build. Won't turn on. No signs of power.

I just bought a barebones pc from tigerdirect. I installed everything correctly to my knowledge. At first, the PSU wasn't showing any signs of power at all, so I tried the paperclip trick and the fan started working. I have already tried unplugging everything and going one by one. No lights, no beeps or anything.

Specs:
Case: Thermaltake V2 plus ATX Chassis (V0545A1N2U)
CPU: AMD FX-4100 Quad Core 3.60 GHZ
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston HyperX black DDR3
PSU: Thermaltake tt-450NL2NK
GPU: Radeon HD 6950 HIS 2GB(?)
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3

have you checked that the cables are plugid in all the way how about the front panel power? are the standofs instaled? have you made sure you moniteor is coneceted to the vedocards ouput and not the motherboards

I have the same problem, and the paperclip thing works, but then i take the flat head screwdriver and touch the power buttons pins, theres nothing, is it the motherboard?

When you use the paperclip does the power supply just turn on, or does the computer start to boot?

Power supply just turns on and thats it no other components turn or, no case fans or LED's either.
