Just bought a new CPU off of ebay, it was bare bones so i took my video card from my old PC and put it into it.
When I started it up it ran for about 10 secs then froze up. So I shut it off, and check the video card, and I noticed it was very hot. So I took it out and put an older card in that works fine, but now the computer will not even display anything on the screen. It is starting up just fine, but nothing displays, I tried 3 different cards and 2 different monitors I even tried using the integrated video card slot. And nothing, no display at all, I am afraid that old video card burnt up the PCI slot and I ruined this computer, anyone have any advice?
