Hi,

I just finished building my new PC (well, the graphics card comes tomorrow i think, but i decided to build the rest to see how it is).

Everything seems to be working properly, but i can't get an internet connection. I'm using an ASrock h87pro4 motherboard, and intel corei5 4670 processor.

Maybe i'm a little dumb...but don't motherboards have wi-fi built in?

Check in the bios first that the wifi and network cards are turned on.
Then install intel mb chipset drivers from intel them use the mb cd and install the network drivers. When you get online go to the network chipset vendor web page for the newest drivers. Some mb do if yOurs did it have the ant on the back. Per asrock your mb has a intel Ethernet port.

No, not all motherboards have wifi built in - and yours does not.

You need to connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 jack on the motherboard I/O panel to your cable router, after making sure the driver is installed

Thanks. Looks like i'm screwed for the time being! Should have checked to make sure this had built in wifi.

Would a wifi dongle to connect to my router work? My Ethernet cable only works in one location, and its too far from where my PC is. Hopefully this would work, as i can easily buy something like this (I think...)
