Intel ME won't install

The other day I just upgraded my AsRock Z68 Fatality MB with the new bios, an Ivy bridge CPU as well as more+faster memory. All went well and every thing seems to be running fine. I will be replacing my 500 series SLI cards with new 700 series ones. One issue I'm having is the Intel ME software 8.0.2.1410 that the AsRock site claims is needed for the upgrade. It will not complete the install. It gets to "creating process: C: \Windows\Temp\IIF2\DAL\vcredist_x86.exe" and then fails stating "the setup process failed to start one or more application processes". Any thoughts?

Well, in device manager, Intel Management Interface version shows as 8.0.0.1262, which interestingly enough is the same version the op in that Asus link was trying to install. Of course, the driver AsRock has you download is a higher version than that, but since my BIOS update(2.10) is showing the correct CPU information as a well as Windows, perhaps I'm ok? My main concern is whether or not this Intel ME driver is responsible for enabling the PCI 3.0 which my motherboard has, but as I'm sure you know, required me to change out to an IVY CPU and update the BIOS, which I have done. I will be getting the 700 series cards next week, so I just want to be sure...... Thanks

That's in the temp folder. How are you running the installer? Try to save it to disk and run it.

Ok, I tried to install from both a disc and a USB flash, but it still failed. Here's the kicker, when I looked higher up in the Intel setup operations window of the install, I see a few lines that state:

Installing driver: Intel Management Engine Interface
Version: 8.0.0.1262
Creating Registry Key: HKLM\Software\Intel\AMT\MEIversion=8.0.0.1262,sz

So, I think it did install the correct version, but possibly AsRock labeled on there site as different? Seems strange they would label it as 8.0.2.1410, yet it appears within the on-screen setup operation progress log as installing 8.0.0.1262.
