Hi. I just built a hole new system with an MSI B85-G41 motherboard and an Intel i5-4670k processor and bought this videocard to go with it. I already tried to see if my old videocard would work and be detected, and it does. When this new one is plugged in with both power connectors and everything, the motherboards will not detect that anything is even in the slot. I've tried it on both my PCI-E slots and neither of them detect anything plugged in. I'm starting to guess that the card might be a dud but would like to see if anyone has any idea about what could be wrong. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have tried all those steps and just confirmed today that the card works in a friend's system, making me think that it's simply incompatible with either my board or processor. The PEG options work right because I'm running my old video card on it now, so I know the plug and play works on it. Still stumped on how it could be incompatible. And when I said it doesn't detect it, I meant the computer itself thinks that PCI-E slot if empty. My BIOS has a 'Board Explorer' screen that shows a picture of my motherboard and everything that's plugged into it, which tells me that nothing is plugged into those slots. Any more help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for the reply.
