So I've been working with my friend to try and get his new GTX 650 Ti up and running, but his computer won't boot. Everything turns on and there is a post beep, but it just gets stuck with a screen that says 'lenovo' on it. We cannot access the BIOS. He has a 600W power supply, so there's plenty of power.
Things we have tried:
Using his old graphics card (worked)
Using the on-board graphics (worked)
Putting the card into another computer (worked)
Using a different card (GTX 570) in his computer (worked)
Unplugging everything but the power and display (didn't work)
Using a different power supply (didn't work)
Installing the drivers off the CD before installing (didn't work)
Accidentally spilling water on his old GPU (didn't work)
I'm a little confused since using a different card in his computer works fine, and putting his card into another computer works fine. What gives?
