Hey guys. I just built my first computer and it all works fine! :bounce:

One thing though... The disk drive I have has now SATA ports to connect to the motherboard, meaning I cannot install windows on the PC at the moment... I know I can sue a USB, or USB HD to install windows which I would need an ISO and my serial key for, but I do not know where to get a legitimate ISO to use.

Thanks for any help/advice!

It's very hard to find an ISO of windows 8 like you could with windows 7, namely because no official ones exist.

That being said, I'm going to tempt the moderators yet again today, and provide the following advice:
While most folks on this site are vehemently anti-torrent, that is because they see it as a use only for illegal activities. That isn't entirely true - it is a very useful tool, and there are a lot of legitimate uses for peer to peer traffic. (Just look at MMOs.) It's much like gun ownership; yes, often it's used for a bad purpose, but it has purposes other than that one.

Now the file you're looking for, if in English is 3416 MB and is named en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso
Do a Google search and you'll find it with no problems.

Then download the standalone program entitled: HashCalc v2.01 to verify the following SHA1 Checksum hash.
The Checksum Hash is: SHA1: 1CE53AD5F60419CF04A715CF3233F247E48BEEC4

There are torrent sites that do have the legitimate ISO image download. The Checksum Hash code listed above IS the correct legitimate code for the official RTM version of Windows 8. Now it's interesting in the fact that this ISO has both the standard and Pro versions on Windows 8 in the ISO image. It's the activation key that tells the install program which version to finalize, and your activation key must be provided to prove that you own a legitimate copy of Windows.
