For any decent build, you are going to need at least $500, what is this for, as for just web browsing it will be ok but you need $500 for a decent screen with it.

the other guys build is slightly better, but it has no OS, so mine is slightly cheaper, although slightly worse.

Forgetting his OS again, add $100.

His build has no O.S so it will cost another $100 plus has no integrated graphics.

here are some user reviews for fx-4100.

all in all, it is an ok cpu nowadays. not the best, but typically will work good for a daily usage. the only thing is that it doesnt come with an integrated gpu. so you may need to buy a seperate one, since the FX series do not include any gpu at all.

if you need a gpu/cpu integrated version. stick to my 1st reference build. as it has a gpu in it already.

not everybody needs an o.s. you know ? he didnt ask for it. so i didnt bother...

edit: about the cpu/gpu stuff I already mentioned that. I assume he is aware of it.

Ok cool, although he didn't say he didn't need it :) they look good anyway except for that.

That one all you need is the HDD to have a full tower. There are other barebone diy deals on tigerdirect and newegg I suggest you check out when your on a very small budget and just want something to be up and running they are good deals to look at.

Other option if you wanted to go really cheap is to get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138365 and than just get a HDD or SSD, PSU, case and you still have money left over for a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Though if you can stretch your budget this build will do quite well, and feel very quick for day to day tasks.
