Is 80 bucks worth the difrence between a 7850 and a 7870ghz GPU?

I know i want a ASUS gpu "unless for some reason they are rated bad?" They match my color scheme lol ANYWAYS the 7850 is on sale right now for 150 bucks were the 7870 ghz edition cost like 229.99 is the 80 dollar difrence worth the card bump?

yea i was already kinda thinking of getting the 7870 ghz edition i just didnt wana waste the 80 bucks if it wasent worth it

If you are willing to spend the extra, personally I would prefer the card that Norlag linked, better performance for a similar price. Powercolor is kind of known for being a budget brand, but I've had a few cards by them and it seems pretty similar to other brands I have.

I think id want to stay away from something that iv never realy heard of before i know im a first time builder but i wana get decent quality parts stilll all the same thank you very much for your suggestion tho :)

these are kinda my top picks currently http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202024 i hear this saphire xt runs about the same as a 7950 using same chipset and has amazing reviews but i also hear saphire craps out shortly after warrenty and its only 2 years

I prefer Asus over sapphire. It comes down to brand preference, really. Asus has amazing customer support, and the direct cu ii cooler on that card is whisper silent and cools amazingly + it matches your cooler scheme :), I have owned a Asus 7970 with direct cu ii cooling before. Its so quiet!
