Sager NP5165 Replacement motherboard

I've had a sager np5165 for about 2 years now. Apparently the motherboard has become faulty and needs to be replaced.

Was wondering about how much it would cost to replace the motherboard and if its possible to replace it myself.

I sent it in for them to figure out what is wrong with it and was more looking at if its possible to replace it myself because sager is saying the fix is about how much the laptop itself would cost.
