Do I need a bigger PSU ?

Hello there,

I am having some trouble. It has only happened once so I'm unsure as to what it could be 100% but earlier today my computer randomly shut off and rebooted itself. The temperatures were fine so it was no safety feature but other then that here are my specs and was wondering if it could be the fact I'm lacking a decent yet sufficient PSU?

Zalman Z11 PLUS case
CoreXStream 500W PSU
I7 CPU 930 @ 2.80 GHZ OC at 3.80 GHZ ( Which I didn't do myself )
Asus P6T SE (Socket 1366) Motherboard
12GB of Corsair DDR3 RAM
Stock case fans (5 in total) and one extra fan at the bottom of the case next to the PSU which I added in myself. This is excluding the heatsink fan

and finally, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm) CPU Cooler is being used at the moment.

An estimated amount would be more then enough and if it's just a simple case of "mate, you need to upgrade" then please be straight forward. I am new to building computers so keep it specific.

Thank you all in advance for any help. I hope I can get this resolved as I don't want to damage any of my components.

:]

It's the quality of the PSU , you need to grab a Seasonic , XFX , Corsair , or Antec.

SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

You have a nice Setup except the PSU.

So it isn't the amount of watts?

The problem is the quality of the PSU.

Was thinking of buying the Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze PSU as I plan on upgrading the MOBO and CPU eventually.

This should solve the problem?

Another question, is it relatively safe to keep running of the current PSU until I can get the PSU above ordered and delivered?

Again, thank you very much. Your help is greatly appreciated.

CX750 < More than enough power , you only need about 500w but I like to leave a little room.If you want that one it will work , but the one i suggested is better.
