Battlefield Crash Error

I am playing Battlefield 3 and all of a sudden every thing turns negative and I cant see anything. AN error message comes up saying DirectX 9 error. I have a 660ti shouldn't I have 11 and how do I solve this problem?

i had that problem once, completely remove all your graphic driver as well as the related components and do a new install of it. It should work again, also is your card overclocked? i had that happen very bad when my memory clock was pushed to high

bf3 doesnt even support dx 9 its 10 or higher so im not sure how its even playing in that?

hmm you may have try for removing it with another program and then running like ccleaner to remove some registry entries and then try to uninstall. I remember reading that a while ago when i was having trouble with some nvidia drivers.
