Asus Xonar D1/DX 7.1 surround illustration?

Hi

On the Asus Xonar control panel software the picture which illustrates the surround speaker position seems wrong. Both the right and left surround speakers are behind the man; shouldn't they be at the side of the man?

I am asking because I have the Razer Tiamat 7.1 and the audio positioning seems a bit off.

Is the positioning correct?

Ahh I see... so when I play a game or watch a movie that is 7.1 surround then they automatically move to the side?

Ok... but what I am asking is are the left/right surround speakers supposed to be at the side of the man or behind him?
