1. What is your budget? $1000-$1500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15.6 or 17.3

3. What screen resolution do you want? 1920x1080; if it blows my budget up, I'm okay with compromise on this (maybe 1600x900 or whatever works)

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Desktop replacement

5. How much battery life do you need? Not an issue (minimal)

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? World of Warcraft (high), Crysis 3 (medium)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Not much besides movies/music

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 1 TB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

I got my desktop a few years back from iBuyPower, liked their products and service, but I'm open to anything.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 2-3 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? Basic DVD/CD RW works

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Not open to MSI and Alienware, from what I've seen (though I could be wrong) they seem overpriced

13. What country do you live in? USA

The Lenovo Y series is the new hot potato, but I'm not sure how well it will run Crysis 3 on Medium with its current GPU (unless you got the model with the SLI setup, in which case it's capable).

Other than that, Sager/Clevo systems are quite powerful and you can usually get better hardware in them for less money - at the expense of having no operating system (unless you purchase one with the machine). MSI is actually very reasonably priced as well.

Asus is not a bad option, although they tend to run a little bit more than the aforementioned.
