How to increase CPU usage for Planetside 2

I have a 2600k at 3.4 Ghz, and when i play planet-side 2, i am CPU bottle necked. I overclocked it to 4.0Ghz, and i am still CPU bottle necked in big battles. Any tips?

from what i heard turning up (yes you heard e right up) to ultra nad will ofload more of the load to the gpu and should help but you might have to fiddle around a bit

It does, but it adds a crappy fog effect

Some people report a 10-25 FPS increase upping to ultra

"2600 at 4GHz" and "bottleneck" just don't fit into the same sentence.

Actually it does, It's just PS2, there is really no fixing it. You should see it trying to run on my 965be instead of my 3570k . . . it essentially just throws up all over itself instead of being like a game.

Aaaaah I see. Then I'm sorry for the OP. He has one of the best CPUs out there but if the software is badly coded there's little to do...

and its not that bad its just a little hard to optimize when you might have battles with over 100 people and tanks and aircraft

so i am not alone, if your getting bottleneck with that processor, we just have to wait for the game to be optimized i guess.
