Howdy yall,

I have been doing alot of research on a new build using this site alot for input and reading alot of reviews about components on other sites as well. I am trying to build a computer mainly for FPS and MMORPG games. Here is what I came up with and was just curious if you think there are tweaks I can make. Either it be that I chose items that is now excessive or didnt go big enough on something where I should have. I have built several computers for myself and for family and friends. Last build however was about 6 years ago.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Within the next week or two

Budget Range: Around $2000, can be a little over if the increase is justified

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming mainly

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I usually use Newegg, but used to go to Microcenter. That is not an option for me now since I am no longer in Ohio.

Location: Stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA, but currently deployed to Afghanistan

Parts Preferences: I have always used AMD in the past, but this time I am going to use Intel. I prefer Nvidia GeForce cards over Ati Radeon. Asus is my brand.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Just want crisp clean graphics. Using my Samsung 46" tv

-New haswell 4th gen processor.
-closed loop liquid cooling, 280mm rad. Will overclock really good.
-A big ssd for all your games and such.
-The 780 performs very similar to the titan.
-850w gives you tons of headroom for overclocking and SLI

I was under the impression that the new Gen 4 Haswell core was not as good as the Gen 3 Ivy Bridge. I do think that I should swap out for a closed loop liquid cooler. I have never OC'd anything yet, but is something that I am interested in doing.

I like most of your build. The only things I would change is the GPU and the PSU. I'd go with GTX 770's in SLI over the GTX 680's. More bang less buck. I'd swap out the PSU for a Antec HCG 900w. But any way you slice it it's going to be a killer rig.

The link shows Fractal Design Define XL R2 not the R4, anyway I agree the H220 is beastly

-You don't need 16gb of ram. Stick with 8gb.
-The problem with high-end air coolers are that they have huge heatsinks. This means that high-profile ram will not fit with the NH-D14. The heatspreaders will only get in the way with the heatsink. Either get some low-profile ram or switch to closed-loop watercooling.
-Motherboard is expensive. I doubt you'll be using all those features. I would either go with the Asus Z87-A or ASRock Z87 Extreme6.

Ok ill drop it back down to 8gb of Ram, do you think it would work with the h110 or h220 that these guys have recommended?

I checked out both of those and they both dont say that they support the 1150 socket for the new Haswell chips

I just watched the video on H220 swiftech and the guy there said that the mounting screws for 1155 are the same as 1150 so that the H220 will fit on the new Haswell chips.
