There really isn't a simple answer without answers to other questions, such as:
What games will you be playing?
What GPU will you be using?
What resolution will you be playing at?
What is your overall budget?
What are your plans as far as how long you will keep the system before upgrading?
For instance, if you have a specific budget it might be better to go with the FX-6300 and use the money saved towards a better GPU. But if you are just looking at raw CPU performance, obviously the $180 chip is going to outperform the $120 chip.
