Typical cycle for upper midrange with overclock is 3 years. It's hard to predict the future, noteworthy is the incoming 4k resolution ( 1080p ^2) which isn't supported by most graphics cards today. Your PSU won't be good for dual GFX cards anyway so wait and see.

Aye, you ride it to medium over three years... then kick it in the ass with a new card or SLI to treat yourself to ultra or high again and rife it down to medium... then it's probably time for a new processor :p

I'd say max settings at 1080p 12-18 months. Playable framerates with at least medium settings 4 years. Of course, in that time frame the average gaming resolution will most likely upgrade from 1080p to at least 1440p and probably higher, which will affect it's overally top tier gaming lifespan.

That looks like a real nice build, you could always add 8GB of memory later if you start doing video work and add anther 770 as games get more demanding, if you want more displays may think about a 4GB 770.

Just wondering why he would need to replace the Arc case? It can accommodate two 280mm radiators and sports 140mm fans throughout.

Because I could't be arsed to look up the sizes of the case for such a general question, so I figured if you give them the criteria for replacement they can figure it out :p
