I'm only focusing on the essentials right now. Anywhere I could be more cost efficient for the same performance? Compatibility issues? (pcpartpicker says I'm fine) Not looking to spend much more. Thanks :)

oh and I could totally be missing something imporant
and this forum is really really helpful I appreciate everyone ~*~*~

Looks OK but I would get 2x 4gb ram instead of 1 x8gb as dual channel ram will give you better performance than a single stick.

For the GPU I would if you can get a GTX 660ti or GTX 670 as it will give you better performance in gaming than a 660. Other than those two it looks good.

Yeah I planned on getting more ram, the 1x 8gb is free so it felt convenient. The graphics card I chose is on sale for $169 and I feel like it's a good deal; maybe I could sli in the future? Thanks for your input!
