I need a motherboard that will work with these parts and a case that will fit them. I have a $500 max budget.

So with these parts, what graphics should I expect? Is there anything you would recommend to replace? Could I be able to record audio and gameplay with this build? Thanks

You should be able to play most games in 1080p medium settings, possibly high with no AA, AF or other graphically enhancing options. You should be able to get a playable experience whilst recording if you record with medium settings with no AA, AF or other options.

You can play most new titles at Medium to High settings and get good FPS at 1080P. Around 25-50 FPS. That's my best guess as to how well the computer will perform based on videos and reviews that I've saw. Is that good enough for you? Below is a comprehensive list of games running on the HD 7770. The CPU's are different in the videos but it should run about the same on your computer. *Read in the description and comments for the FSP in some videos*

The one I recommended supports newer CPU's too and it's a lot cheaper but I would recommend going with this one if you can afford it. As far as those motherboards go even though they can upgrade to Piledriver 8 core CPU's I would stick to 4 and 6 core CPU's because they are cheap boards. The VRMs probably are just barely good enough for 8 cores.

Also another thing... If you can spend a little more on the case this one is an awesome deal with the rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156252

That motherboard is limited to CPUs with a TDP up to 95W. It does not support the Phenom II x4 965.

I agree that the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 is a good bet if you still want to keep it reasonably affordable. It supports more CPU and has a newer chipset and newer features such as SATA3 and USB3.0.

Yeah. Sorry.. For some reason I forgot that there isn't a 95 watt version of the Phenom II 965. But You could get an FX 4300 and that motherboard. Just get the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 though because I checked it out and it's a really good deal. Lots more upgrade options, usb 3.0 built in, sata 6Gb/s support, and you can use crossfire.. It is almost $70 but totally worth it.
