Upgrading from GTX 460 to what?

Running 2 systems using 4 core AMD cpu's and 8gb of ram (DDR3). Have GTX 460's in both systems. Win7 64 bit. 1920x1080 monitor now.

Processor is Phenom II x4 960T

Looking for suggestions on what to upgrade to that makes sense at the best price point. Target price $200 or perhaps less.

Any appreciate value in 2gb v. 1gb in either the 7850/650/660?

Well, depending on what quad core AMD cpu you have will decide what GPU you can upgrade to. I would assume it's a 945, 955 or 965 which you could get the 7850HD or 660GTX.

Best bang for the buck is 650 Ti Boost .... only $140 .... two of them top the 7970 Ghz and 680

The 660 costs around $200 but it's 13% lower in the performance per dollar category
The 7850 is a bit over ya budget at $210 but it gets beat by the drastically cheaper 650 ti Boost by 2%

The HD 7850 is your worst bet for the $200 price range... Now if you can find a 2GB version for $175, that would be worth it with the included games.

You want a GTX 660. Slightly better bang for your buck is the GTX 650Ti Boost, but you'll be better off with the extra muscle if you can afford it.

You also forgot to mention that it comes with a free copy of Metro Last Light. Good card and a great deal. That Asus Direct CU is probably the best one made.

If you upgrading from 460 i suggest you to look for 670 if you want massive performance improvement though your cpu might held back the card. 660 wasn't bad either if you dont have the budget for 670. Going from 460 to 660 still have quite significant performance improvement

I ordered the Asus 660. After a $20 rebate it is $169. For the price and performance I couldn't find anything better at this time. I'll put it in my wife's pc and see what she thinks (her birthday is coming up soon).
