You don't need to hear a beep, as long as it appears on your monitor
You can use a tiny speaker that comes with the case to hook it into the mobo so you can hear the sound
1)Anyways, check your PSU connectors. You need three connectors for your external build test
CPU fan, 28Pins Mobo power, PCIe for your GPU
2) connect your GPU to your monitor
3) Switch on your PSU and monitor
4) turn on your power switch
