It's my first time building, I bought my drives and apparently they don't come with cables and instructions that tells which cables you need to buy. Here's the link for my products:

SSD
HDD
DVD Drive

Can someone help me point out particular kinds of cables that I need to buy and compatible with my motherboard that supports SATA2 and SATA3.
Thanks for the help

You need SATA data cables and SATA power cables.
Usually, those come with your motherboard and power supply.

Hope this helps! :D

Power cables should be with your PSU.

OKGEAR 18" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Left Angle W/ Metal Latch, Black, Backward Compatible 3 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps

Those components are OEM so you might need the Data cables if your motherboard didn't come with extra.

Wouldn't be overkill to use SATA3 to DVD drives and HDD?

Most of the cables sold now support all the speeds.

I like to buy this in the Egg but I really want to finish this asap. Would you approve this one(SATA2) for my HDD and Optical Drive. I manage to acquire a SATA3 for my SDD, which is pretty cool.
