i found this one this morning, i don't have the cd for windows 8 as i updated my windows 7, and did it all on-line. i have tried to find on Microsoft's web site a place to download and make a boot disc for windows 8 because i've also thought about a clean reinstall but i would love a simpler option as i'm worried about loosing my data. also tried to by a disk off of there but there not taking payment, i thought it might have something to do with the new update coming out.

i will try and change the power option and see how i get on. Do you think that the new windows up date will also sort this problem out as it only started when i updated from windows 7.
