I have a RAID 1 (mirror) internal storage array for photos, music, etc. My OS is on a separate drive. I got on my computer today and noticed that storage drive reverted back to a state from about a year ago. How could this happen? Is there anyway to get my files back?

No one has replied so I'll have to stab in the dark.
Raid 1 is a mirror of your original drive, it should be a replication of what you had originally which could have been nothing in the first place prior to OS installation so you've somehow "restored" or done something to a setting. Basically, as best as I can figure, you can't actually use the drive for copying data to or for storage, it's supposed to be a "backup" or "Restore to factory settings" type of configuration.

You say you got your computer today, that seems to infer that it was sent away to be fixed. Well, it got fixed, permanently.

There is no way for this to happen without doing a restore of some sort from a backup. The only way "maybe" is if your RAID 1 setup failed somhow a year ago without any errors, and now all of a sudden started working and mirrored one of the drives that had year old data onto the second one. I don't know if that is technically possible, you may need to find a good expert in RAID to find out for sure.

Or you broke and re-created the RAID and set it up to mirror the wrong drive.
