Okay, so a couple of days ago, I had a problem with my wired internet connection so I posted this:
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1700617/lan-networking-problem.html
The problem is back....
It seems that whatever fix that I use on this only fixes it for a day or two, then the problem comes back and is immune to that fix.
Any help?
It is giving me an autoconfiguration IPv4 that is invalid, and won't assign me a proper IP address.
Thanks in advance for any answers or possible solutions.

Yeah, I have tried giving it its own IP address but that did not work. I am using the port on my NIC. One thing that I noticed is that it is giving me a 169.x.x.x IP, which I know is invalid but I have no idea how to fix. Any ideas here? sorry for responding a day late.

well a 169 ip is a failure to get dhcp from the router, so either somethings going on with your nic/ it's drivers, you could always check the router, by factory reseting it and resetting it back up to see if that clears it up. Once you do that, that rules out the router causing the issue, then you move back to your computer, try moving hte nic card to a different slot.
