Hi there

I looked on the forum but i couldnt find the answer i was looking for. My case is capable of taking two 120mm front case fans as intake and a side fan as exhaust/intake according to my manufacturer which is Antec.

Now i have bought two coolermaster case fans. The case fans have a holographic sticker at the front. If i mount that on my case with the sticker showing at the front, does this mean the fan is acting as an intake fan. Is this correct or not?

I appreciate if someone could clarify this for me please?

Kind Regards,
KP

Solution
Correct. You can easily test it yourself. Spin the fan and see which way air flows. Then mount it correctly so that air flows that way.

I wouldn't trust sticker placement. Fan build design can vary which side it's on.

However, I would trust the imprinted arrow on the outside of the housing indicating intended direction. Its on one of the 4 sides.

Thats true, now i have connected my fans. I put a piece of paper near the fan and the paper is not being blown away from the fan. The LED's are being lit up.

However the fans are noisy since i have had to connect 2 fans to the 4-pin molex on my PSU. Can someone recommend a solution to this e.g fan controller or a cable to control these? Or use a washer on the fans to reduce the vibration?

Thanks,

Cheers, can anyone recommend a suitable fan controller please since the noise is quite high I have just checked the fan cable and i would like to correct myself in regards to my previous post, the fan does not have a 2-pin connector but actually a 3-pin.

Thanks for sharing . I will look into that. Will it fit into a spare DVD drive bay?
For time being I have ordered a 3-pin splitter cable which will connect to a spare 4-pin connector on the motherboard and will allow connection of two 3-pin fans.

Kind Regards

If your plugging into a motherboard header (most boards would support 2 fans on a header, some even 3 safely) you can experience noise in the fan from 2 rpm signals battling it out and the mobo controller getting mixed signal. Clipping/removing one of the fans yellow wires from the equation can solve this. Make sure u dress the end to avoid shorting
