Hello.

I've been putting parts together for some time now.

And I think I have it the way I'd like.

I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on My parts list

Plus I have some questions related to it.

Is the psu I have chosen enough for my parts?

I only plan on using one 1080p monitor so 2gb of video card ram is enough right?

Also here's some parts that part picker couldn't find.

Keyboard And Mousepad

I haven't decided 100% on a monitor. But some I'm thinking about areThis one This one andthis one

let me know which one you think would be best. It will help me decide better.

I'm just looking for opinions on the build. Like what do you think of it? Is it a solid, good build?

Also are all the parts good? Will they all work together?

And finally I'm still undecided if I will go with 770 or 7970. Let me know what you think about this. Which one would be better overall. I'm leaning more to 770 tho (which is why it's the one in the parts list) but the games that come with 7970 are making the decision harder than it should be.

Thank you for your time.

Yea your build is fine I wouldn't personally go with a non 840 pro but I think its fine it has enough write cycles to last a long time. Also its very hard to find a power supply at that price point thats modular so I don't have a complaint there. I think you are good to purchase your build.
Do you already have the keyboard and mouse pad? Were you wanting Cherry MX Blacks? Is this your first mechanical keyboard?

I would recommend the 3rd monitor you had linked. It's a IPS panel the only reason I would spend more then that would be to get a higher resolution display or a 120hz monitor from Benq.

In terms of the graphic cards I would go with the GTX770. The pricing of it places it in a better spot then the 7970 currently sits in and is a stronger card.

Also the argument with the games well let me tell you I have a GTX670 and the games that come with the cards you can go to EBAY look up for example Bioshock Infinite Steam Code and bam! It's not that expensive to go this route this listing is 30 dollars :p Get the best card don't get a card based on what you get from it freebie wise.

Also do you live near a micro center I can save you money that way as well which you can put towards a samsung 840 pro instead.

No. I don't already have the keyboard and mousepad.

And yes, it would be my first mechanical keyboard. I don't really understand what 'cherry whatever' is to be honest. I just saw it was a nicely rated nicely priced mechanical keyboard. Plus I liked the way it looked. Is it a good keyboard?

And unfortunately I live about 1-2 hours away from a microcenter. I would end up paying more with gas included in the price as apposed to just buying online.

@bigshootr8
Also thank you a LOT for that ebay link. Now I'm certain I'm going to get a 770 you helped me a lot.

Is the seller genuine tho? Why would they be selling $200 worth of games for $30? Do the codes not sell too good?

Also how exactly do I get it once I buy from ebay? Does he ship me the code in a box or something?

I'm not sure about the seller but I can tell you I've purchased metro last light, crysis 3, and blood dragon on ebay with no issues at all plus I always check out their seller approval rating before I purchase anyway so I'd say you are good to go.

I would take a look at this link if I were you. It goes over each switch and kind of explains the pros and cons of them.
For example blues are for typists and are very clicky. Where as blacks are hard and are considered gaming switches but are also a lot more work to press down. I have the logitech g710+ which uses browns which I like because its in between a typist switch and a gaming switch in my opinion.

And I understand in regards to the microcenter deal. I would drive 1-2 hours because in the end almost getting a motherboard for free would be worth it to me but I can understand that wholeheartedly.

I like the mouse mat I haven't heard of the brand before but it looks solid enough. I personally use this one from razer.

Whoa. That's a big mousepad.

Um, if you don't mind me asking I'm a bit confused on what your original post meant. What did you mean by reposting my list but with individual links? I'm a bit confused so I apologize if I'm missing something obvious.

Yea I love my mousepad because it covers my whole pull out tray for my keyboard and mouse so there isn't a part that isn't mousepad.

Oh, I was quoting in response to your link I wasn't really trying to point anything out per say was really just replying. And its okay I am sorry for the confusion I should of just responded normally without pressing reply.

it's okay.

So would you say the build I put together is good overall? Do you think I should go ahead and buy it?

I'll probably go with the one in the op.

It's pretty much what I want. At least visual wise. Black. Not too big and an affordable price.

But if you know about a better/cheaper one by all means let me know.

Is the one I picked a good one? I think it comes in multiple type of keys.

Yea cooler master makes great keyboards. I would be tempted to try a cherry mx black out. I like that it has a lot of tactile feedback meaning that it requires a bit more push the normal mechanical keyboards making it closer it a normal keyboard. My only gripe with the keyboard is that it doesn't come with a ten key but if you don't need a ten key then I don't see why not.

I'm going to be pretty much using the computer for gaming. Does gameing use the extra keys?

I've never actually used a mechanical keyboard so I'm pretty much in the dark about what kind of key I like. Are there any video's that explain what the differences are between the keys? I don't think I'd want to push down too hard. But then again I can't be sure I don't want that since I've never used a mechanical keyboard before.

I picked it because I heard mechanical ones are really good for gaming plus I like the clickety clack sound.

Yea I'll find a video for you. I'm sure there may be a game that uses numpad but I'm sure you'd be fine without it. Cooler Master does ones with the numpad.

I think if you aren't wanting to press down nearly as hard then you may want browns, reds, or blues. IF you really like the clicky the blues may be a possibility however browns are good to. I hate how he says beginners go with browns because I'm pretty sure I would go brown or blacks myself :X
